[05/23/20] We are so excited to start back to work and see all of you ...
As we proceed to open these are
policies and procedures that are now in place per state and board of health.
1) All clients must be healthy to the best of their knowledge and 14 days clear of anyone who has been ill with a fever or diagnosed with Covid 19.
2) Clients must remain in car until called inside. The waiting room and refreshments will not be available ... All magazines have been removed from salon for the time being.
3) All clients must be wearing a mask and are asked to sanitize or wash hands when arriving inside building. There will be sanitize dispensers at the entrance of salon.
4 ) Clients must remain six feet away from others ... With the Exception of your stylists ...
5) All clients must enter and exit through front door ... NO EXCEPTIONS ... The interior door will remain open to help with less contact of surfaces ...
6) Per state guidelines clients may not handle any retail products on the shelves . If you want to purchase something the receptionist will handle retrieving the product and process your transaction.
7) Each stylist will only have one Client in the building at a time.
NO EXCEPTIONS ...
8 ) Clients will NOT be allowed to bring coats into the salon ... NO Changing into smocks ... Please dress accordingly ... Please no bulky clothing or hooded sweatshirts ...
9) The SAFETY of our clients is our PRIORITY ... We will disinfect and sanitized per Board of Health guidelines ... This includes ALL tools used during the appointment as well as shampoo chairs and sinks, stylist chair and bathroom between each client ...
10) All employees will be wearing a mask and cape or smock and will be changed between each Client ...
11) All employees will be washing and sanitizing hands before and after each Client ...
11) Please give us advanced notice if you are canceling an appointment because of the new booking requirements ...
12) We will not be able to add services at the time of your appointment so please schedule exactly what you need at that time ...
We will work diligently to make this transition that is at the moment the new normal as seem less as possible ... We truly appreciate your patronage and patience ...

The resumption of manicures, pedicures, and facials will be in the next phased opening, sometime in early June.
Cash-out-procedures will be practicing social distancing at the desk. The receptionist will select your retail purchases and bag them safely for you!

I've delayed this message as long as I could, hoping to ease your anxiety over the inability to meet your grooming needs due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Because Pelo The Day Spa complies with federal health and safety guidelines we are at least allowed to begin scheduling appointments for a period yet to be determined, however, as you probably have heard that decision has not yet been made by the state of Massachusetts.
In preparation for our recurring operations, I feel it necessary to establish considerate guidelines for comfort and security and seek your input through a reopening survey. If you would kindly add your thoughts as to what you see as an environment that would render you confident.
Please allow this note to suffice as a reopen message based on the governor's recent announcement of May 18th . Still to be determined ....
